Raben unites again behind 2 important causes

2017.12.22
Raben Trans European Hungary Kft. is highly committed to being socially responsible and its employees are more and more determined and enthusiastic about taking care of the environment.

Last year’s actions were highly successful so a blood donation was arranged again in October 2017 in cooperation with the Red Cross which involved the nearby businesses too. The enthusiasm of the donors was the same as last year and many new people attended this time.

“Just like last year, people came to donate blood in the already arranged schedule so everything went well on the day of the donation. Our meeting rooms were prepared for the event.’ said Ágnes Bolyki, Raben PR & Marketing Specialist who coordinates the CSR activities.

Besides the blood donation, Raben also organized the so called “Shoebox even”, i.e. a charity collection for children in need in the Miskolc area of Hungary. This was the third time we made this happen but the first with the involvement of the businesses nearby. The motto was: “Let’s give a box of happiness” because we wanted people to focus on children in need getting small or no presents, and who can be made happy thanks to this action. The effort to serve the right cause could be sensed during the charity. The presents were brought by two Raben colleagues to Miskolc on December 18.

“There are thousands of children in Borsod county who live in poverty. Our goal is to enhance the physical, mental and emotional development of the children, to keep them safe, to help them being raised in a family. It is also important to prevent the kids from being taken away from their families. The children and their parents were very happy when they saw the gifts. We would like to thank the employees and associates of Raben Trans European Hungary Kft for their help in making Christmas special for these children,” said Ildikó Árvai, Manager of the local Children Welfare Centre With these two events, Raben wants to raise awareness social responsibility among its colleagues and others because only united can make big things.
