New Raben Group depot in Schleswig-Holstein

Right after Raben Trans European Germany leased the facility in Neumünster in early April 2019, first shipments were dispatched to recipients in the Schleswig-Holstein area.

“Thanks to our new depot, we are closer to the recipients of our customers in Northern Germany,” explains Ties-Christian Petersen, Raben Group Regional Director responsible for the North German region and for business development. “In order to guarantee the high quality of our groupage services, we decided to enter the market in Neumünster”.

At first, seven Group employees in Neumünster will be responsible for carrying out forwarding and transport tasks within Raben's own groupage network. Due to the fact that the logistics operator sees great development potential in this fourth largest city of the Schleswig-Holstein region in Northern Germany, new jobs are planned in this depot in the future.

“We would like not only to distribute goods from this location, but also to acquire key customers who will entrust us with their shipments for distribution throughout the country thanks to our own groupage network” - Ties-Christian Petersen presents plans for the future.

In addition to distribution, the new Raben Group depot will also focus on supply logistics, i.e. supply chain management through support of production cycles through the supply of raw materials and semi-finished products.
