The Decoration of Honour “Meritorious for the Transport of the Republic of Poland” was established pursuant to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of November 22, 2000. It is awarded to transport employees who have particularly contributed to the achievements and development of this field of the Polish economy.
Paweł Trębicki, whose 20-year professional career has been connected with logistics both on the side of operators and customers, has greatly distinguished himself in this field. He has been the General Director and Vice-President of Raben Transport since 2010. He is very active in the TFL industry - he often gives lectures at logistics conferences, conducts classes with students, and he is a member of the Polish Association of Logistics Managers.
The application for the ministerial award was submitted by the Transport and Logistics Poland Employers’ Association, of which he was one of the founding members in August 2014, and whose activities have been so efficient thanks to him, among others. Not only was Paweł Trębicki a co-founder of the TLP, but he also has contributed a lot to make the association what it is today - a strong and professional organization. The Vice-President of Raben Transport currently holds the position of Chairman of the Council.
“Paweł Trębicki is not only one of the initiators of the TLP but also one of the main driving forces of the Association. The next term of office as the Chairman of the Council of the Association is a proof of the great appreciation given to him by the members of the organization. In Paweł Trębicki's case, the ministerial distinction ‘Meritorious for Transport of the Republic of Poland’ was awarded on the basis of many factors - professionalism, extensive knowledge, perfect understanding of the industry and its problems, proactive attitude, as well as successful, ethical and sustainable management of the company. The ongoing management of such a large company as Raben Transport is quite a challenge, and yet the problems of the industry and the activities for the benefit of the sector always have a high priority in his actions. The conviction that only together we are able to shape a friendly political, economic and legal environment for the development of the industry was the basis for the establishment of the TLP and it is an important determinant of our actions,”comments Maciej Wroński, President of the Transport and Logistics Poland Employer Association.
It is not the first time that Paweł Trębicki has been recognized for his professional activity - in 2010 he received a distinction in the logistics manager competition. He received the Decoration of Honour “Meritorious for the Transport of the Republic of Poland” on December 6 during the TLP Christmas conference, which was an opportunity to summarize the year in the sector.
“Five years ago, I had the pleasure of being one of the founding fathers of the TLP. Together with a group of several companies we came to the conclusion that it had been time to act. In recent years, Poland has become a leader in international transport; the companies have developed and professionalised. As the Chairman of the TLP Council, I consider the five years of the Association’s operations to be very positive. We have taken many initiatives and the TLP has built a recognizable brand in Poland and also in Brussels. Today's award is a great honour for me; I feel that we are going in the right direction and the initiatives taken so far are appreciated. But above all, this Decoration is the motivation to continue working for the benefit of the unified actions of the industry” - said Paweł Trębicki, General Director, Raben Transport.
