Following the trends on logistics and industrial markets, one can observe the growing interest in the Eastern region. The needs of Western customers are continuously growing and they are increasingly hungry for new markets which can be found in the East. Nevertheless, transport and logistics East of the Polish border are significantly different from the European business. They require much higher flexibility as well as different skills and vast professional knowledge of customs procedures and the specifics of that market.
"More than a dozen of years back, the new European Union Member States were struggling with the same procedures as today's Eastern countries. However with time, this professional knowledge faded away because the European Union now has no place for complicated customs formalities." – says Bartłomiej Łapiński, Managing Director of Raben East – "That is why we decided to dedicate one business unit which will specialize in servicing those markets while accumulating all the required skills at the same time. This will supplement the portfolio of Raben Group in terms of road transport."
The seat of Raben East is in Robakowo near Poznań and its main locations are in Grodzisk and in Gliwice. Raben East supplements Raben Group's portfolio with services of international road transport, including regular groupage connection with Eastern countries. The portfolio also includes Customs Agency services as well as advisory with reference to transport to Eastern markets. Distribution and consolidation of shipments utilizes the groupage network of the Group in the whole Europe. The company will service the countries like: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
"Thanks to regular groupage connections with Easter markets, Raben East is tailored to the needs of two groups of customers. The first includes those who wish to systematise their deliveries to their clients in the East. The second are those who are looking for new sales markets and are just starting trading in this area." – explains Bartłomiej Łapiński - "I believe that a dedicated team of experts focused on servicing these directions will help our customers to succeed in the East."
In order to meet the customers' expectations, Raben East established relations with partners in Eastern markets. They are experienced and professional entities which have in-depth knowledge of local markets and which are market leaders while maintaining the high, European standard of customer service.
