In September 2011, Raben Group acquired the German road network and the business activities of Wincanton in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Having completed the integration in those countries in 2012, now has been carried out in Germany.“The name affix Trans European is known from the history of Raben Group so we want to continue our operations under this name. It also shows our international focus and the development of Raben Group. Especially our Customers will benefit from this merger since there will be better transparency. Of course, also internal processes will be streamlined and simplified.” – says Ewald Raben, Raben Group’s CEO.Raben Group entered the German logistics market in 2005 taking over Birkart Systemverkehre. Since then, the last acquisition has comprised the takeover of Wincanton’s road network in Germany. Raben Trans European Germany has now more than 22 branches throughout whole Germany with the total of 270,000 m² warehouse capacity and 1,400 Employees at its disposal.
