On October 9, 2014, there was an official opening of the new logistics centre of Fresh Logistics in Gliwice. It is another modern Raben Group facility opened in the recent years. Between 2013 and 2014 similar branches were opened in e.g. Piła, Sosnowiec, Lublin, Szczecin and Kalisz.
The warehouse and the office employ the total of 220 people. The cost of the investment exceeded PLN 36 million. The new facility has:
-a two-storey office building with the area of over 860 m2,
-a two-storey office and social complex with the area of over 700 m2,
-a storage and cross-dock warehouse with the area of over 15,490 m2,
-over 17,000 m2 of main roads, parking areas for trucks and manoeuvring yards,
-over 2,930 m2 of pavements, parking areas and manoeuvring yards for cars and over 8,331 m2 of green areas,
-modern pump room for fire protection which guarantees a high standard for fire safety,
-modern, energy-saving and eco-friendly cooling installation using ammonia and glycol. "Care for food products, which are the core business of Fresh Logistics, requires continuous development. New facilities and innovative warehouse and transport systems serve our Customers and their clients. They guarantee that the food products which reach end users are of the highest quality" - comments Ewald Raben, CEO of Raben Group. The location of our city at the junction of two trans-European transport routes favours this service sector.
