The Best in Cloud contest has been organized by Computerworld for the seventh time. It popularizes and promotes the most effective ways to use cloud technology. The result of the contest was decided by: Impact on the company functions, measurable economic effect, influence on solving major problems of the company.
The winners of the contest were announced during the Best in Cloud 2019 conference. The distinction for Raben Group for the best implementation of the cloud service in the last 12 months was accepted by Zbigniew Kępiński, Manager of Genius Lab (R&D department) at Raben Group.
“I am very pleased that the jury appreciated and recognized our solution. myRaben.com is a platform dedicated to our customers, consignors and consignees of the goods we transport. The functions and scope of information offered through the platform are constantly developed to extend the range of services provided by Raben Group.” - says Zbigniew Kępiński.
Raben Group has been introducing innovative solutions for many years, both in warehousing and transport processes as well as in the area of IT tools and systems. myRaben.com platform was launched in 2015. Thanks to the use of data cloud computing, the Group customers and consignees of goods delivered by Raben can use the Internet to have immediate access to orders, shipment statuses and invoices, or to use a personalized sets of reports.
“The use of cloud computing has allowed for ensuring high efficiency and speed of the solution simultaneously for several thousand users who actively use the platform resources on a daily basis; ensuring high availability of the 24/7 solution; freeing own network and hardware resources, as well as guaranteeing the scalability of the solution” - adds Zbigniew Kępiński
In addition, since January 2019, Raben Group customers have been able to monitor delivery time in real time on myRaben.com platform because the company has developed an innovative system of monitoring shipments based on the ETA (estimated time of arrival) parameter. It uses information about the current position of the driver based on the GPS location provided by the mobile device. In the event of a situation which may affect the time of delivery (earlier/later than originally calculated), being the result of the situation on the road or an accident for instance, the system automatically updates the estimated time of delivery and sends updates to myRaben.com platform.
