Warehousing
At its disposal Raben Group has almost 800,000 square metres of modern A-class warehousing area with various storage conditions, including:
- separate zones for food and non-food products
- zones with controlled temperature (from +14°C to +18°C)
- fresh zones (from +2°C to +6°C)
- separate warehouses for dangerous goods (ADR)
The warehouses are equipped with:
- multi-level storage racking systems
- IT-supported administration of stored goods
- modern domestic transport
- 24-hour security service and procedures of monitoring the facilities
In the warehouses the services of unloading and goods’ acceptance are provided with the control of their quality and quantity. This process is facilitated by an automation of warehousing activities such as:
- scanning in the process of goods’ acceptance and control of goods releases
- taking advantage of RF (radio frequency) technology
- possibility of identification of any label data according to the EAN 13 and EAN 128 standards
The goods for release may be prepared in various ways:
- homogenous pallets
- mixed pallets
- parcels
Value-added services (VAS) rendered within the comprehensive service include:
- foiling and labelling (including non-standard sales units)
- repacking
- preparing promotional units
- co-packing
- co-manufacturing
Comprehensive logistics services are supported by a professional stock management system making it possible to:
- actively manage warehouse stocks
- release products according to the FIFO, BBD, PROD rules or any other individually agreed rules
- control with the use of the system i.e. products' expiry dates, production batch numbers, pallet serial numbers (the history of operations available also following the release of goods from the warehouse)
- interchange of electronic data with Customers (EDI links) owing to real-time transfer of information
- commission of goods on pallets and preparation of consignments
- report in detail to Customers
Moreover, the premises are monitored for 24 hours by professional security service and they are equipped with a CCTV system.
