Raben Logistics Germany is building a new distribution centre on the area of 26.600m² at Engineering Park (district Ronsdorf). With the investment of 5.1 Million Euro, 1.341 m² of new office space as well as 4.290 m² of warehouse capacity with 52 ramps will be created.

In the last weeks Raben Polska company has opened new daily connections in import and export between Rzeszow and Koszyce and Gliwice and Ostrava. The services are rendered in cooperation with Czech and Slovak companies of Raben. The aforementioned solution shall contribute to transport cost optimization and improvement of the offer.

In February new regional branch of Raben Ukraine starts operation in Khmelnytsky. A newly opened branch is the 7th branch where professional assistance and consultation are offered to the customers of Raben in Ukraine. For companies operating in this region the launch of the new branch translates into easier access to groupage distribution services to any destination both in the territory of Ukraine and Europe.

Raben Polska company has become the winner and the laureate of the main prize, the Golden Distinction, in a Logistics Operator of the Year’s customer satisfaction survey. The event was organized by DGC research agency and Eurologistics trade magazine.

On the 9th of October, 2009 the ceremony of announcing results of the 1st Ukrainian national rating LOGISTICS AWARD UKRAINE-2009 took place. It was organized by the Ukrainian Logistics Association (ULA) with the assistance of the European Logistics Association (ELA).

Raben Poland company has increased the number of its warehouses with a new location in Pass near Błonie. The new building disposes of 15 000 m². Among the rendered services we should name comprehensive logistics service, storage, warehousing services (loadings, unloadings, unloadings of containers, packaging and customizing of pallets and packages), additional services (VAS) and customs warehouse from September. At the moment there are almost 30 people employed there, the aim is to double this number.

This distribution concept enables to raise the speed of the goods flow to the doors of end-customer, since goods move directly from receiving to shipping area.

Kyiv - METRO GroupLogistics (MGL) Ukraine, a cross divisional company serving METRO Group companies in Ukraine signed a three-year cooperation agreement with the logistics company Raben Ukraine, a part of Raben Group (Holland).

Part of the Raben Group, Birkart Systemverkehre (BSV), which has its head office in Mönchengladbach (Germany), has increased the number of its terminals. BSV has purchased two sites from Cordes + Simon which belongs to the Kühne + Nagel company, the sites are located in Mittenwalde (Berlin) and Prenzlau (near the Polish border).
